Blogger's Meet @ Shamrock Irish Bar

I got the chance to meet Peter and Wuan during the gathering organized by the lovely Dee on Sunday (28 Oct 2007). I am glad I did show up and say hello to everyone and chit chat a bit. It's really nice to meet up with people that not only u know through their blog but people that actually open-up your mind to their thoughts and personality...I left earlier because of other commitment and I felt sad for not having the opportunity to sit and chat more and listen what others have to say about themselves and their blog. Plus..I missed the 'milking' session between Julian and Joy...hehehhe....Sorry peeps that I have to leave early but I really hope we'll have a gathering again soon...

Ohhh...there's a funny thing happened when I actually got mistaken C as Jollence..."hearing problem" bah mangkali sia malam tu..hehehhe..he actually introduced himself as Lance and when C said he's Colin, I actually heard him saying,Jollence...so..there u go..I got confused..hahahhaha

SSAM Korean Cafe...

Jane, Audrey (Jane's sister), Rina and I had our lunch at SSAM Korean Cafe at Wawasan Plaza, Ground Floor (near to Tang Dynasty Hotel). It's a very small place with limited choices in their menu but I must say, the bento (lunch set in a serving-box) was good....Dont ask my Korean-movie-song-actors-fanatic-friend, Rina lah..coz she's soooo bias anything to do with Korean...LOL. Jacq, you should try it (SSAM Korean Cafe) and comment it on your blog ahhhh....Oh wait...Lemme see...(me thinking hard *-* wink..wink..)...I personally still prefer the Korean Restaurant in Tanjung Aru Plaza (1st Floor)....ops...

I hate sandflies!!!!!!!!!

On 1st day of Raya, 13.10.07 me and friends went to Dinawan Island and this time round, our dear friend, Mr Gurangak joined us as well. The moment he arrived in KKIA, sia culik dia and bawa pg breakfast before we ber'gumpul' at Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty (our meeting point) at 8.45am.

We boarded our boat to Dinawan at exact 9.05am and arrived around 9.35am.

Once we settled and had our drinks, terus jalan to tour around the island....Mr Gur mula2 blur coz we didnt actually have a briefing on the Do's and Don'ts thing while in island. But I guess he just followed the flow once he adjusted to the sun-baking-heat we all have to endure that day....tambah-tambah lagi we walked along the beach just to get to the so-called-well-known-hidden lagoon (just right behind of the resort)...All I can say...I didnt mind the walking part of the sun baking my skin, but I hate the sandflies....I seriously hated them..so soooo much...just imagine your tshirt, shorts, hair, and skin..all covered with sandflies....

And the day-after result from the stupid sandlfies......just look at the pic below...

I am sooooo PLOKA-DOT now..urghhh!!!

Aidilfitri yang mulia....

Wishing all my friends, Selamat Menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri....

I enjoyed this year's Raya..Me and my really bestfriends enjoyed our mini-chit chat with big laughs...3rd daya of Raya, we went to Hawk and Lin's place...I arrived quite early...buat2 macam rumah sendiri, masuk terus tanpa malu, terus naik pg tinguk TV..hehehehhe...Rina came later dgn baju barunya..ahemmmm...

Later, we were joined by Jem & hubby....Jem haven't change much (makin byk cakap pula..hehe)...I think it's been 14 years I didnt see her...
I never eat that much during raya but the daging masak kicap with kismis "igauan" kami..hmmm very the sedap....I think I had 4 plates of it....ops....hey it's Raya ok..and my figure pun terus shapeless...LOL..Jem the ever-slim-friend pun tinguk saja each time I tambah my rice and the daging...yummmyyyy...

Diane and Mildred arrived 10mins after Jem & hubby left...My goodness, it's like wonderland when our dearly Diane sampai....terus dgn suara ketawa kuatnya mengilai-ngilai hasil gabungan suara kami...hmmm....she's the ever-jolly-friend who can talk about movies, books and almost about anything and makes u laugh at the same time....Ohhh we(the girls) talked about Anne of Green Gables and Hawk would go.."huh???"....hahahah..he watched the movie series too but yalah girls can talk about Gilbert and Anne and their romantic lines...and goes,"ahhhhh"....

Lapas tu, we went to Putatan tempat our dear friend, Afee whom I didnt meet since after our SPM...doi punya lama sudah pula kan Afee. She still looks the same and we talked a lot about our school friends (junior+seniors) and whatever happened the good ol days..hahahha...that was a really nice mini-reunion. Hey..next time shhhh jgn kasi ketawa sia cover perutku yg boroi ahhhhh..LOL...

Really nice to meet up all your school friends and cerita as if we were still in high school.....and we almost forgot that we are in our 30++ sudah...arghhhh yg penting jiwa masih muda bah kan.....

Diving again....

Last weekends, I had the opportunity to dive in Sipadan, one of the top diving sites in the world... I seriously never enjoyed my dives before this and because of that, I only did 6 dives in the past 5 years. In other words, I stopped diving 5 years ago since I got my PADI license. I dont know why on earth did I take the course in the first place but I have a serious fear of being underwater, petrified with fishes, corals, and traumatize by the scene from the movie JAWS and everything that I know that can lead to fish or any underwater creatures eating human... Last year, while in Mataking I tried (Joe tried to help me overcome my fear) to dive...but after the orientation dive..I didnt proceed with the boatdives. The weather, the waves, the currents...everything scares me.... I thought by taking the course, I can overcome my fear...but it didnt work at all..

However..once I was in Sipadan...I dont know what made me want to overcome my fear on my own...of course with the help of my divemaster, Mr Basrun....I never thought I would ever say this but...I love diving!!!! Yesss...I enjoyed my dives in Sipadan ( Mabul wasn't the place for me...the visibility at that time was very poor and was still struggling with my buoyancy, breathing, all the equipment ). The anticipation of going to Sipadan was so great that I couldnt eat my breakfast and was panicking before I boarded on the boat....plus the boatride to Sipadan was terrible yet fun...the waves were as high as the roof of our boat, water keep on splashing INTO the boat, everything in boat keep on rolling here and there....you'll think,"oh no..the boat going to capsize...but my dear dear buddy aka divemaster was really good at calming me and made me enjoy every second of the dive and we even stayed under the water almost an hour.

Barracudda Point was fantastic...The descending part was easier that I thought it would be, the fishes, turtles, colourful corals, welcomes you..and before I knew it...a shark was right in front of me....shittt!!! All of the sudden, The JAWS soundtrack was playing in my brain and I can feel my heart was pounding like mad-watch. I prayed and in a blink of my eyes...the shark came nearer to me ( I guess he was trying to check how I smells like )....and later he left me alone...pheeewww...but I guess he must be thinking," Oh I can't eat this...this is cholesterol"...hahahhah...But a minute after that, you'll see sharks everywhere, turtles playing around, fishes with funny faces and corals that I cannot even recognize...My divemaster was always stay next to me or right in front of me..he kept on checking whether I'm allright.

They are times that I wanted to laugh, but I cant of course (bcoz of the regulator)...I saw many fishes that looks like Chris Tucker (really black) and even some that has pouty lips with lipsticks..Basrun, me and Kingsley saw a couple of turtles tring to get the female attention.a.nd some even making love right in front of us....I stayed for awhile and they were not intimidated by our existence. Kingsley said to me later,"Josie, I thought you are not suppose to watch that here in Malaysia..". LOL....

How beautiful and gorgeous Sipadan's underwater can be...The public and Sabah Park still need to do something to improve the cleanliness of the beach. It was really dirty when we arrived there and the toilet and the jungle side was really in bad condition..there are lots of rubbish around the island...most of the tourist would say,"hmmm it's dirty here".

I am looking forward for the next trip to Sipadan..so guys and girls..let's pack our stuff and dive.......
